Wal-Mart Names Teachers of the Year 2008

Fifth grade teaching team Mrs. Valerie Booth and Mr. Sam Cregger were surprised by representatives from the Marion Wal-Mart who presented them with the award "2008 Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year." This recognition is given each year to a Smyth County teacher based on nominations and letters from students, parents, and community members. The recipients of this award are given a $100 gift card for their classroom and their school receives $1000. Flowers, balloons, and a cake were also included for this celebration. Congratulations, Mrs. Booth and Mr. Cregger.
