Fall Drama Class

Congratulations to the following Forensics team members who compete in the Region C Forensics Tournament on March 1 - Kayla Martin and Adam Martin in Duo Interpretation and Cody Hafley in Impromptu Speaking.

Congratulations, Forensics team members! They will be going to State Competition in April.

1st Place Hogo District One-Act Plays

Congratulations to the Advanced Acting class. They presented “Saturday Matinee” at the Hogoheegee District One-Act Play Competition on Friday. They won first place in the district and will travel to George Wythe on Tuesday, November 13 for Regional competition.

The Advanced Acting Class placed 5th in the Region C One-Act Play Festival. Cody Hafley received an award for being one of the top 8 actors in the region. Congratulations to everyone and thanks for your hard work.

All-District Choir

Congratulations to the following students who were chosen Saturday to participate in the Junior All-District Choir event to be held in Tazewell in February: Allison Hankins - Jake Davis - Brian Wilson - Brittany May

Congratulations to the following students who were chosen in Saturday's auditions to participate in the District 7 All-District Chorus which will be held in Bristol at Virginia High in February. These students competed with students from 25 schools to be chosen for this honor's choir: Megan Nelson, Jennifer Schuler, Samantha Santiago, Caitlin Hayes, Lindsay Widener, Cathy Widner, Alyssa Becker, Dustin Joines, Josh Reed, Tyler Lundy, Michael Stamper, and Andrew Russell. Chilhowie had 12 students chosen to be part of the District Chorus, which is a record number for us! Great work! Ms. Freeman would also like to thank all her students who came and worked the auditions from 7:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. You represented Chilhowie High at our best!
