Food City School Bucks Program

You must sign up each year to participate in the program, using your Food City Value Card. You may sign up online, too. The following is the correct link for parents to create their MyFoodCity account and link their school (CHS) - https://my.foodcity.com/.

The Food City School Bucks Program runs from August to May 2018. Encourage parents, family members, and friends to sign up for Chilhowie High School. Again, you must sign up each year to participate in the program, using your Food City Value Card. You may use CHS's School's Bar Code or just tell the cashier that they want their purchases to help CHS. The program is designed to earn cash for our Food City receipts. This can be very helpful to our school. Thank you for participating.

American Literature Classes

Mrs. Booth's American Literature Classes wrapped up a unit on Native American Literature with some creative writing. After reading three different origin myths from three different tribes the students were set with the task of writing short skits illustrating their own original origin myths.

Check Your Child's Lunch Account Status Online - NEW Online Program
My School Bucks

In order to better serve our parents and community, Smyth County Schools Food Service Program has invested in a web-based cafeteria application called My School Bucks. This application enables parents/guardians to view their child's lunch account status, including account balance, meals eaten, and a la carte/extra items purchased. Parents will also be able to make online payments. There is no charge to view a student account status; however, the company does charge $2.50 to process each online payment.

To create an account, click the My School Bucks link above. You will need your child's six-digit cafeteria ID number to complete the account setup. Registration is free. New students will receive their cafeteria ID number at the time of registration or on the first day of school.

Parent Group Emails

CHS is in the process of creating a Parent Group Email Account for our parents/guardians in order to better communicate with the students' families. We have already received some email accounts. Unfortunately, some of these accounts are being returned to us for various reasons. Therefore, if you have given us an account, but have NOT received any emails from the school, please resend your email information to melissaharrington@scsb.org. Or, if you would like to receive emails from CHS, please send your email information to melissaharrington@scsb.org. Please state the name or names of your children and their grades, as well as, your email address. Thank you for your help in this matter.
