Congratulations to the MMS Red Storm robotics team for their performance at the First Lego League regional tournament. The tournament was held at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon, VA on Saturday, November 12, 2016. The students brought home first place in the "Robot Performance" category by out scoring the thirteen other Division II robotics teams. They also brought home first place in the "Project" category for their research and skit addressing Colony Collapse Disorder in bees. Once again, congratulations to these eight students on their hard work and performance!
These students were selected based on their characteristics of being kind, honest, polite, and being a role model.

|My School Bucks|
In order to better serve our parents and community, Smyth County Schools Food Service Program has invested in a web-based cafeteria application called My School Bucks. This application enables parents/guardians to view their child's lunch account status, including account balance, meals eaten, and a la carte/extra items purchased. Parents will also be able to make online payments. There is no charge to view a student account status; however, the company does charge $2.50 to process each online payment. To create an account, click the My School Bucks link above. You will need your child's six-digit cafeteria ID number to complete the account setup. Registration is free. New students will receive their cafeteria ID number at the time of registration or on the first day of school.School Lunch Menu Link: Menus

|MMS is participating in the "Food City School Bucks" program. However, Food City has changed the program. They do not want us "collecting" receipts this year. When you purchase items at Food City - ask the cashier to credit the amount to Marion Middle School. Thank You.|
