Check Your Child's Lunch Account Status Online

In order to better serve our parents and community, Smyth County Schools Food Service Program has invested in a new web-based cafeteria application called Café Prepay. This application enables parents/guardians to view their child's lunch account status, including account balance, meals eaten, and a la carte/extra items purchased. Parents will also be able to make online payments. There is no charge to view a student account status; however, the company does charge $2.50 to process each online payment. To create an account, click the Café Prepay link under the Food Services menu at the top of the page. You will need your child’s six-digit cafeteria ID number to complete the account setup. New students will receive their cafeteria ID number at the time of registration or on the first day of school. With this system, all school cafeterias are linked together, which means that payments can be made at any school cafeteria in Smyth County.

NOTE: All schools are currently active except Rich Valley Elementary, Northwood Middle School, and Sugar Grove Combined School. These schools will be incorporated into the new system pending the completion of network upgrades to provide additional bandwidth to these schools. The Northwood Middle/Rich Valley Elementary upgrade will be completed by Monday, August 23, and the Sugar Grove upgrade will be completed after September 1st.

2010-2011 School Supply Lists

Box Tops for Education

Marion Middle school is participating in the "Box Tops for Education" program. Clip Box Top coupons from hundreds of participating products. Your child can bring them to their school and hand them in to their 1st period teacher. This pdf displays a list of the online sites that will give credit to our school for online purchases. To make online purchases, you must go to the Boxtops site, choose Marketplace, and follow the online guide to making purchases.

Add this link to your favorites for online shopping. A % of your purchase will go to MMS. Thanks.

Food City School Bucks

MMS is participating in the "Food City School Bucks" program. However, Food City has changed the program. They do not want us "collecting" receipts this year. When you purchase items at Food City - ask the cashier to credit the amount to Marion Middle School. Thank You.

MMS Parent Email

In an effort to better communicate with our parents, Marion Middle School will continue its Group Email Account. This will allow us to notify parents of important events such as Midterm Report Dates, 6 weeks Reports, Parent-Teacher Conference Nights, etc. To be added to or removed from the mailing list, please email mariannblevins@scsb.org and ask to be added to Marion Middle School's Group Mailing List. Make sure to include your students name and grade level in the email. If you are not receiving MMS updates every couple of days, please call the office and give the address to us again.
