Hi, my name is Mary Alice. I was born in Chicago, and now I live in Illinois. To start off, I was not a wealthy little girl. My mom and dad had barely enough money to take care of me. They got to the point where they couldn't take care of me, and sent me to my grandmas.
I actually thank them for sending me here, it might have been the best thing that’s happened to me. I know they did it for the good of loving me, I guess they didn't want me living the life of a city girl, who is different than all the others.
After moving to Illinois, I had a tough life. My grandma was apart of that life. I know she did everything with a little attitude, but that’s just the kind of love she is used to. If I had not been there, she would probably have been the same old crazy woman down the street with a 2 barrel shotgun. But she has really softened up.
Grandma wasn't the only one with an attitude. There was this girl my age named Carleen. She used to be the popular one in grade school. She always used to get jealous of me and Royce but eventually she gave up on her quest to break Royce and I up. She actually has turned into a very nice person.
