I grew up in Chicago, Illinois with my mom, dad, and my older brother. I didn't visit my Grandma Dowdel often because we lived so far away. When my parents sent me down to stay with her for a while I did not want to go. When I first got there she sent me to school it was an old two room school house with very few students in it.
                 Grandma Dowdel is a very intimidating person. Pretty much everyone was afraid of her. But she is also very smart she taught me a lot, she taught me how to cook, hunt, and stand up for myself. She taught me how to not let people run all over me, that you are your own boss. After that summer I was a different person. I started acting more like her.

                 I married a guy I met in high school his name is Royce McNabb.    We married in grandmother’s house many years later. Now I an happy and working hard
