All about me.

Just in case you don’t already know, my name is Mary Alice Dowdell. I grew up in Chicago, living with my parents in a small apartment. Around the age of 12, at the time of the Great Depression, my family had troubles with money, so I moved to a small town called Walwash, Illinois. I was to stay with my grandmother. Staying with Grandma Dowdell was quite an adventure.
I attended Walwash High School, I was placed in the Junior Class. In school, my closest friend was Ina– Rae. She was a small girl in a small town. My years at this high school were sometimes hard, but filled with great memories. Also one of my worst enemies was this preppy, stuck– up girl named Carleen Lovejoy. She liked Royce so much; she would do anything to get her greedy hands on him, but I learned from Grandma how to get what I wanted!

After graduating, I went to the local college for five years. I kept in touch with my friend, Royce McNabb, through letters while he was at war. He returned for a short period of time. We got together and started seeing each other. We were married at Grandma Dowdell's house.

I am still happily marred to Royce, and we plan on starting a family and staying in Walwash, Illinois. Watching Grandma, (just to make sure she doesn't get into trouble!)
