Grandma Dowdell’s Page

Grandmas sweet pumpkin pie!

Its all about me

When I was just a sprout, my parents couldn’t really get me into my britches. I was the problem for the whole family. I wouldn’t listen to a darn thing. To me it seemed as if every time I even took a breath, I would be either spanked or grounded.

When I first entered grade school, my parents were awfully glad to see me gone half of the day. My life in school was about as bad as it was at home. The teachers said that I was a handful to handle. When I was in eighth grade, I was kicked out of the one room school house and got the hickory stick.

In high school I met the love of my life. I dated Grandpa Dowdell for at least a month before he proposed. We had only one devil child who also got married and had a child named Mary Alice. She had to move here one year because her parents could not afford to keep her. We had our good and bad times while she was here. Then she married to this boy Royce McNabb. After she moved out I felt a sergeant rush to go see my family in Chicago.
