AUTOBIOGRAPHY

    Hi, my name is Grandma Dowdel  and I’ve lived for seventy-four years. I have lived a very good life and grew stronger every day because I have learned from mistakes I’ve made in my life. I have learned to provide for myself.

   When I was a little girl I was a trouble-maker. When I was thirteen I got kicked out of the eighth grade. I quickly learned to hunt and fish to take care of myself.

   When I turned nineteen years old, I married my husband. Being with my husband and raising a family with him, changed my life. Our family pulled together in hard times.

  Now that the Great Depression has hit my sons daughter has come to live with  me. It has been a blessing for me to live with her because she has shown me to be a nicer and better person.
