In order to better serve our parents and community, Smyth County Schools Food Service Program has invested in a web-based cafeteria application called My School Bucks. This application enables parents/guardians to view their child's lunch account status, including account balance, meals eaten, and a la carte/extra items purchased. Parents will also be able to make online payments. There is no charge to view a student account status; however, the company does charge $2.50 to process each online payment. To create an account, click the My School Bucks link above. You will need your child's six-digit cafeteria ID number to complete the account setup. Registration is free. New students will receive their cafeteria ID number at the time of registration or on the first day of school.
The Northwood Theatre Department is open to all students, and is run
through our school's drama classes. We currently offer Theatre I,
Theatre II, and Advanced Acting. Each year, we produce one
full-length and two one-act plays, including a show for the VHSL
theatre competition. Our students have won numerous accolades at
competition, including several Hogoheegee District Best Actor/Actress
awards. We also participate annually in the VHSL's forensics
competition; several of our students have competed at both the
regional and state level. Photos of all of our theatre productions
(dating back to 2006) are available at NHS Theatre.
Northwood High is in the process of establishing a parent email list. The school will use this list to send out important announcements, such as report card dates, parent-teacher dates and any other important information. If you would like to be included in this list, please send your email to April Moore firstname.lastname@example.org
