Note:The 'Home Economics' program has drastically changed in the past few years. We are now Family & Consumer Sciences, and the classes offered are Nutrition & Wellness, Life Planning, & Individual Development. Our classes are a good mix of males & females. We focus on teaching the individual teens to be able to live and survive on their own. In today's society we see both parents working in most homes, so we all need to be equipped to do all things for ourselves. We have a lot of fun, learn to cook and prepare meals as well as planning, grocery shopping, and clean up. I am very proud of all my students--we do a large range of activities.
