New Course - EMT

Did you know that SCTC offered a new course? The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course prepares high school students for certification as a Virginia and National Registry EMT. It focuses on all aspects of pre-hospital basic life support as defined by the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services curriculum for Emergency Medical Technician. 9 college credits are awarded through Virginia Highlands Community College. Training includes clinical ride-a-longs with local EMS providers and students obtain 10 patient contacts during their clinical rotations. Ask your high school guidance counselors about the new EMT class at SCTC for next fall and check it out!!
