SES Honor RollTwenty-one third grade students at Saltville Elementary School participated in the St. Jude Children’s Math-a-Thon. These students raised over $800.00 to be used in research for treatment of childhood diseases. The top two fundraisers were Joseph Maggard and Haley Hall. The students participating were: Hannah Davidson, Tyler Austin, Calvin Hall, Micah Haga, Maria Perkins, Kiersten Harris, Jon Young, Ivy Roark, Lindsey Sword, Abby Hogston, Madison Swiger, Joseph Maggard, Jonathon Tiller, Spencer Carter, Casey Litton, Alex McCaw, Olivia Gates, Caitlin Bordwine, Dalton Doane, Haley Hall, and Britney Nunley. Mrs. Libby Roberts, Mrs. Kelly Jones, and Mrs. Amanda Parker-Collins coordinated this project.


The Masonic Lodge donated a porthole portrait of George Washington to Saltville Elementary School. A dedication ceremony was held at 9 AM on Monday, February 22. Pictured are representatives of the student government; Ms. Penny Jones, student government sponsor; Mr. Michael Colston, fourth grade teacher, portraying General George Washington; and Mrs. Bobbie Harden, librarian, portraying Betsy Ross.
