Smyth County Teacher named Region 7 Teacher of the Year
Oak Point Elementary School proudly celebrates one of its own, as teacher Hunter Trivette has been named the Region 7 Teacher of the Year.
Mr. Trivette received the exciting news during a surprise visit from Virginia’s Superintendent of Public Instruction, Jenna Conway, and Secretary of Education, Dr. Jeffrey Smith. The announcement was met with enthusiasm and pride from students, colleagues, and staff.
