PRE-K and KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

for

SMYTH COUNTY SCHOOLS 

What: Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Registration
 
Who: Children turning four years old on or before September 30, 2026 for Pre-Kindergarten
          Children turning five years old on or before September 30, 2026 for Kindergarten
 
When:  March 19th and 20th from 8:30 a.m.—5:00 p.m.            

Where: What: Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Registration
 
Bring the Following Documents
 
  • Pre-K Only: Bring verification of income (paystub or tax information)
  • Pre-K & Kindergarten: Bring a copy of your child's state certified birth certificate.
  • Immunization records and a current physical exam are required by August 7, 2026 for both Pre-K & Kindergarten. 
 
Children registering for Kindergarten will receive a welcome bag of
educational materials to help them prepare for school entry!
